Notino, the largest online perfume and cosmetics store in Europe, is expanding its offer to include the Health segment. The new range is divided into four categories and more are planned for the future. Customers from the Czech Republic and Slovakia can already buy 6,000 new products on the e-shop. Notino will gradually add a range focused on health in other European countries where it operates.
Traditionally, the strongest categories of Notina include perfumes, which account for half of the company’s performance, and cosmetics, which have seen extreme growth in the past year. Now the seller has added a Health section to its offer, which currently offers customers approximately 6,000 new products.
“Notino has always focused as much as possible on the area of beauty that we didn’t want to shatter. But gradually we came to the conclusion that Western trends could no longer be overlooked – that the customer can only feel really great through a combination of beauty and health products. So it will not be a marginal segment, but a new building block of Notina and its future, “commented Zbyněk Kocián, CEO of Notina.
The Health section is divided into a total of four main categories – pharmacy, sports nutrition, healthy nutrition and mother and child. Customers can already choose, for example, over-the-counter drugs and dietary supplements such as collagen, minerals, vitamins or probiotics. There is also a varied offer in the sports and healthy nutrition section, which offers protein bars, amino acids, nuts, dried fruits, fat burners and healthy delicacies. At the same time, products for mothers and their children are being launched, from before they are born to the age when they go to school. In their portfolio, they will find everything from maternity products, baby food and cosmetics to stylish pacifiers and babysitters.
“Being an expert in health-oriented products entails a number of very complex legislative steps, which we have either already fulfilled or we are going to overcome in the near future so that we can offer customers prescription drugs in the final phase,” Kocián added.
The Czech Republic and Slovakia are currently the first of all 28 countries where Notino operates to offer its customers all four categories of the new Health segment. In other countries, a section focused on mother and child has been launched so far, other products will be included gradually.
