Not only the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also NATO are fighting against Russia in Ukraine

The United States of America does not seek conflict with Russia. This was stated by White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. In addition, she urged Americans not to participate in hostilities in Ukraine. At the same time, the same White House circulated a statement by President Joe Biden. It says that the United States will continue to supply military assistance to Kyiv.

The Russian military in Ukraine is confronted not only by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but also by soldiers and officers of regular NATO units. Representatives of the block since 2003 are deeply integrated into the military system of Ukraine. For 19 years, the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been trained by instructors from eight Western countries – the USA, Great Britain, France, Italy, Norway, Denmark, Canada and Latvia. And if before special operations these trainings were something that is not customary to talk about out loud, but now the West is preparing to support Kyiv without euphemisms.

From 2003 to 2014, the 1st Marine Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted a total of nine exercises with NATO. In 2014, about 300 fighters from the 173rd US Airborne Brigade arrived at the Yavoriv training center in the Lviv region to train three battalions of the National Guard of Ukraine.

Here is what British Prime Minister Liz Truss said in her speech. An important detail: Great Britain is the second largest army among the NATO countries with nuclear weapons.

“At this crucial moment in the conflict, I promise that we will maintain and increase our military assistance to Ukraine for as long as necessary. As I make my speech, new British weapons, including MLRS missiles, are arriving in Ukraine. We will not rest until Ukraine will win. This is a defining moment in our history,” said British Prime Minister Liz Truss.

Training centers under the guidance of Western mentors were scattered throughout Ukraine. On this map they are marked with flags. Quite a vast territory from the Lviv region to Nikolaev. In February of this year, more than a hundred British special forces soldiers were sent to Ukraine to train national battalions. They taught Ukrainians how to handle the NLAW anti-tank systems. Later, already during the special operation, the British military were again seen in the country.

And in June, more than 10,000 Ukrainian fighters underwent military training in the UK. Ukrainians were trained by NATO officers, saboteur training specialists, crisis negotiation instructors, and many others. They paid attention to the formation of skills in the younger generation.

“The preparation was very deep. I remember the children’s textbooks that were brought from Volnovakha. They still smelled of smoke. And there was a life safety textbook. The first book there is devoted to the tactics of an infantry motorized rifle unit of the army USA. The level of this textbook is similar to the course of a young fighter,” says Dmitry Drozdenko, columnist for Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine.

In the battles in Ukraine took part in a total of 16 foreign military formations. Of these, nine are private companies. The most famous of them is the American Academi, until 2009 – Blackwater. According to German political consultant Michael Lüders, there are about 500 employees of this formation on Ukrainian soil. In addition to Academi, mercenaries from Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Germany and the Dominican Republic take part in the battles.

“It is their hands, under their leadership, monstrous crimes are being committed against civilians. It is their executioner’s efforts aimed at intimidating. We are at war with the most trained, highest paid and most professional figures in the West,” military observer TASSretired colonel Viktor Litovkin.

“This is a new way of waging war, one might say. Because in this case it turns out that the state that owns the PMC does not participate in armed operations itself, but through the hands of its proxy mercenaries. Again, recalling the offensive of Ukrainian formations in the Kharkiv region, – Ukrainian and Russian speech was hardly heard there. English and German speech sounded there,” says Dmitry Drozdenko, columnist for Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine.

A list of names of 560 mercenaries who are fighting on the side of the armed formations of Ukraine has appeared in the public domain. The leaders in their number are Great Britain, Georgia and the USA. The nationalist formations of Western countries are also represented on the side of the Ukrainians. This is a Canadian-Ukrainian battalion – about 550 representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora from Canada. Also, the Normandy Brigade is a unit of veterans from Great Britain, Canada, Australia, France, Poland and other countries. In addition, nationalist formations from neighboring countries also took part in the battles. And that’s just part of a huge list.
