The Health Center of the Hungarian Armed Forces reported on Facebook on Monday that a pregnant woman was diagnosed with a life-threatening condition during the 26th week of pregnancy.

Thanks to the highest level of professional collaboration between the Military Hospital and the University Clinic in Graz, it was possible to treat the fetus intrauterinely by giving compatible blood directly to the fetus, so the pregnancy could be carried out until the 36th week, they wrote.

Thanks to the most careful pregnancy care performed at the Military Hospital in Budapest, the mother gave birth to a healthy baby boy weighing 3,200 grams. The newborn will be cared for in the premature ward for some time to come, but they are confident they will be able to be at home with their parents and siblings as soon as possible, the hospital wrote.
