North Korean leader’s sister, Kim Yo Jong, warns the US over its initiatives at the UN

Known as the most powerful name in North Korea after Kim Jong Un, Kim Yo Jong heavily criticized the United States for his joint statement with Britain, France, Australia, Japan and South Korea.

Stating that North Korea will see the US’s rhetoric as “violation of sovereignty and political provocation”, Kim Yo Jung emphasized that although the US wants to disarm North Korea, it should be more careful and that the North’s right to self-defense cannot be taken away.

Warning the United States that it “could face a more grave security crisis”, Kim Yo Jong stated that they considered North Korea’s ICBM tests to be discussed at the UN Security Council as a double standard.

Expressing that the UN Security Council does not oppose the US and South Korea’s military exercises and armament, Kim Yo Jong noted that they will give “the hardest response to the end” to protect their national security.

Kim Yo Jong’s statements came after the US Permanent Representative to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, at the UN Security Council.

The Council met yesterday after North Korea launched an ICBM on November 18.

Stating that North Korea has conducted provocative and destabilizing ballistic missile tests without fear of retaliation or retaliation from the Council, Thomas-Greenfield sent a presidential statement to the Council that measures will be taken to thwart North Korea’s illegal weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile advances and that Pyongyang administration is condemned. He said he would prepare and present it.

Some countries, including France, England, India, Japan and South Korea, supported the call of the USA to take measures to prevent North Korea’s illegal weapons of mass destruction and ballistic missile advances.
