Nicolae Ciucă announces WHEN the first deliveries of natural gas from the Black Sea will be made

He spoke about the signing, within the governing coalition, of the offshore law that will unblock the investments in the gas exploitation activity in the Black Sea and in Buzău County.

“Starting this year, for the first time, we will have Black Sea Oil Gas delivering gas, I think no later than the middle of the year, about one billion cubic meters a year. The exploitation in the Neptun Deep perimeter will start at the end of 2026, at the beginning of 2027. In the deep sea, at Caragele in Buzău county, the exploitation will start at the beginning of 2024 ”, the prime minister explained.

The new gas sources will ensure independence from the resources of the Russian Federation, from where Romania does not import directly, and which will lead to the development of other branches of the economy and will lead to a decrease in prices for services provided to the population.
