New Toyota Yaris: features and prices

Toyota Yaris is the model that marked the history of the brand in Italy, marketed in its new version starting from July last year. Since introduction in 1999 more than one million units have been sold to date, volumes that represent almost half of Toyota’s total sales in Italy.

Yaris is a winning model, which can be defined as a brand within a brand. Its fourth generation is a perfect synthesis of the previous ones: it takes up the concept of ‘little genius’ of the first, it is safer than the second and more hybrid than the third generation.

The direct link with the first Yaris that we all remember is immediate, the same lines of the original design have been taken, now more modern and streamlined, and also the same winning concept of “small outside, big inside”, with compact dimensions, without ever sacrificing space in terms of interior comfort and habitability.

The new Full Hybrid system

The fourth generation of Yaris boasts a new 1.5 liter Hybrid Dynamic Force engine, 3 cylinders, capable of delivering a maximum power of 116 HP, thanks to the Full Hybrid Electric system totally redesigned in every component and new lithium batteries, which raise the already high levels of performance, efficiency and driving pleasure. Fuel consumption and emissions are class leaders, the new Yaris is able to sail with zero emissions up to 130 km / h.

Toyota Safety Sense

The safety system is one of the most advanced in the segment, Toyota Safety Sense is enriched by the Adaptive Full Range Cruise Control with Stop & Go and the Active Lane Maintenance System LTA. For the first time, the brand introduces on a car the road junction assistance function, which detects pedestrians and vehicles that engage the vehicle’s trajectory at intersections, and the emergency steering assistance system. Yaris is the first car in the compact segment with central airbag designed to best protect occupants in the event of a side impact.

New Toyota Yaris Hybrid range

The new Toyota Yaris Hybrid is available in four settings:

• Active, entry version, already complete with all standard equipment such as 15 “steel wheels, automatic climate control, fog lights, rain and dusk sensor, Toyota Touch 3 multimedia system with 4 speakers, 7” screen, DAB and Smartphone Integration and Toyota Safety Sense;
• Trend with 16 ” machined black alloy wheels, front and rear signature LED headlights, LED fog lights, 4.2 ″ TFT screen multi-information display and binocular digital speedometer;
• the top of the range will consist of the fittings Style e Lounge, which differ respectively in the bi-tone exterior and the panoramic roof, but maintain the same contents in terms of comfort. The additional standard equipment will be the Smart Entry & Start System, the dual zone automatic climate control, the 8 ” display and 6 speakers, the heated and electrically foldable exterior mirrors, the electrochromic interior rear-view mirror, the tinted rear windows and the seats with inserts. in leather and gray stitching.

At the top of the Hybrid range we find the Premiere version, bi-tone with exclusive Tokyo Fusion color, seats with leather inserts and Tokyo Fusion stitching and 17 ”black machined alloy wheels. A full optional version, with maximum technology thanks to the parking and lane change assistance system, the 10 ”color Head-Up Display, the interior lighting and the JBL audio system with 8 speakers.

Traditional engines

Toyota Yaris is also available with the 1.0L petrol 72 hp 3-cylinder, in three versions. The Active and Trend versions will have the same equipment as the corresponding versions of the Hybrid range. The top of the range, on the other hand, is the Dynamic, with an 8 ” display and 6 speakers, electrochromic interior rearview mirror, heated and electrically foldable exterior mirrors, tinted rear windows, Smart Entry & Start System and BSM blind spots control system.

Aesthetic and functional characteristics of the New Toyota Yaris

Aesthetics meets technique and, as the House says, everything becomes possible. First, Yaris shows up with a dynamic and distinctive design with compact dimensions, without sacrificing space in terms of interior comfort. The new fourth generation hybrid technology is able to guarantee incredibly low consumption and emissions (up to 35.7 km / h starting at 64g / km of CO2), high driving distances with zero emissions and a car that can sail up to 130 km / h in electric mode (EV), with a pleasant and fluid.

New Toyota Yaris loudly shows its digital nativity and advanced connectivity systemsIt also boasts integrated data management and the Hybrid Coach, available on the MyT app, which monitors EV performance and advises the user how to optimize them, reducing fuel consumption and emissions. The package of active and passive safety systems is also excellent, the most complete and advanced among the compact cars in the B segment, which includes, for the first time in Toyota, the assistance function at road intersections and a central airbag designed to protect at best occupants in the event of a side impact.

Thanks to a technology “user friendly” it gives access to a series of benefits both direct (reduction of the cost of ownership) and indirect (access to integrated mobility services).
