Movie tip week 38 (2022): Andor

With a Chromecast in your television or a Chromecast Audio in your speaker, you can watch and listen to media from your smartphone in excellent quality. That is useful, but then you have to know what you can watch and listen to. That’s why we offer the Android Planetviewing tips. Here we give some current film and series tips, both for free and paid services.

1. Everything Everywhere All at Once (Prime Video)

One of the best movies of the year is now on Prime Video. Michelle Yeoh plays a woman trying to sort out her family’s taxes and laundry, only to be called in to save the multiverse. For that, she can learn from all the versions she could have been in other universes.

2. Andor (Disney Plus)

A new Star Wars series has begun to fill in yet another part of the big story. This time, you’ll follow Cassian Andor, who you’ve seen before in the movie Rogue One. This series takes place five years before that movie, as the Rebel Alliance tries to form itself to face the Galactic Empire.

Andor does it completely differently compared to previous Star Wars series. For example, there are no Jedi to be found and the series does not have to rely on cameos. It is also nice that you can immediately watch three episodes.

3. Lou (Netflix)

Allison Janney plays Lou, a lonely woman with a dark past in this new Netflix film. She prefers not to have anything to do with anyone, until a mother asks her for help in finding her kidnapped daughter. Then Lou picks up her rifle again to go hunting.

4. Do Revenge (Netflix)

In the new Netflix film Do Revenge, you follow two girls who take revenge on their bullies. Interestingly, you probably recognize a large part of the cast from other Netflix series such as Stranger Things, Riverdale and 13 Reasons Why. Sarah Michelle Gellar from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Sophie Turner from Game of Thrones are also in it.

5. DC Club van Super-Pets (Google / HBO Max)

If you want to watch a new movie with your kids, you can buy or rent DC Club from Super-Pets from Google, among others. In this animated film, Superman’s dog along with a group of other pets must save the Justice League.

If you have an HBO Max subscription, it is worth waiting a while, because you can stream the film there from Monday 26 September.
