Two new specializations in basic course 1 (GF1) provide a better opportunity for students to follow their interests.
TEC now has a total of five different disciplines at GF1, and this means that it is easier for students to choose a discipline that suits their interests.
At the same time, it gives more focus on the specific area, which helps the students to choose the right education.
The first new field of study is Industrial Design & Visual Communication, which focuses on the creative and the work of creating and shaping different materials, and it therefore prepares for the educations for building painter, sign technician and blacksmith.
Digital Solutions & Robotics is the second new field of study for students interested in software, robots and digital solutions. The educations data and communication as well as automation and process are therefore the natural extension.
Basic course 1 of 20 weeks is for students who start a vocational education directly from 9th or 10th grade, and provides a broad introduction to the vocational educations. You choose a field of study that suits your interests, and it tones the course, so that it is more targeted educations in this field. However, you do not have to choose an education that is a natural extension of the field of study.
