A respected motorcycle journalist broke the world record for visiting the largest number of countries in 24 hours – on a motorcycle.
Thijeri Sarasin started his ride in the south of Poland, a strategically chosen location due to its close proximity to a significant number of countries. Along the way, he found himself in northern Italy, before heading north and ending his journey in the Netherlands.
At the end of the journey, Thijeri covered an impressive 2,200 km and completed the feat in just 22 hours. This last point is made even more impressive by the fact that before the trip Thierry set himself the goal of completing the trip without breaking speed limits and local road traffic laws.
The motorcycle that Thijeri chose to ride is a safe choice for anyone who wants to cover long kilometers, quickly and comfortably. It’s a Kawasaki Versys 1000. Bridgestone prepared the bike before the ride with new tires, Motul supplied the oil and Tierri packed some extra fuel in case he ran out.
He quenched his hunger and thirst with a mixture of isotonic drinks, food for an astronaut and medicines that helped him not waste time going to the bathroom.
The record Thierry broke was actually one he already held after visiting 13 countries last year on an MV Agusta Super Veloce motorcycle.
Sebiet I’m going to be a BW 😂
