Kawasaki has finally unveiled its new mid-range retro motorcycle, known as the Z650RS.
The Japanese company brings the same retro DNA that we saw on the Z900RS in 2018, with the new model bringing a reliable parallel twin engine with a volume of 649 cubic meters, which is already powered by the Z650 and Ninja 650.
The unit is arranged to be more responsive at lower and medium speeds, but it still delivers 67 hp at 8,000 rpm and 65.7 Nm of maximum torque at 6,500 rpmn.
Like the Z650 and Ninja 650, the new Z659RS brings a 41mm fork and an adjustable rear shock.
Braking is provided by the front calipers with 300 mm disc brakes, and there is a two-channel Bosch ABS.
From other characteristics we single out:
– immersion clutch
– seat height of 820 mm
– complete LED lighting
– classic analog instruments in combination with a digital screen
According to Kawasaki, the new Z650RS should cost around 9,000 euros.
