Oppo has presented its new flagship. The Reno 7 comes on the market in three different versions, initially in China.
Oppo has officially presented the new Reno 7 in China and is launching a new mid-range smartphone on the market. So far only on the Chinese market, but it is to be expected that Oppo will also release the three models in the series in Europe. The Oppo Reno 7 and Reno 7 Pro should be available from December 3rd, 2021.
The Oppo Reno 7 SE is not expected to hit the market until December 17, 2021. The flagship of the series is definitely the Oppo Reno 7 Pro, which is equipped with 5G and also offers a lot of other performance under the hood. So let’s take a closer look at the model.
Mid-range smartphone: Oppo Reno 7 Pro
The Oppo Reno 7 Pro 5G has a 6.55 inch full HD + (1,080 x 2,400 pixels) AMOLED display and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Inside it is equipped with the new MediaTek Dimensity 1200-Max SoC, paired with up to 12 GB RAM and a maximum of 256 GB internal storage. When it comes to battery capacity, Oppo mentions 4,500 mAh with up to 65 watts of fast charging.
The mid-range smartphone is delivered from the factory with Android 12 and ColorOS as the operating system. In terms of camera technology, the Pro version of the Oppo Reno 7 has a 50 megapixel main camera on the back, an ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2 MP macro camera. In the front area, the selfie cam offers 32 megapixels.
As a flagship in China, the Reno7 Pro 5G will cost the equivalent of around 514 euros as a smaller version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of SSD. With 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of SSD, the manufacturer charges the equivalent of around 555 euros.
The Oppo Reno 7 5G cuts back on the display, which is slightly smaller at 6.43 inches. Inside is a Snapdragon 778G from Qualcomm. Again, Oppo offers either 8 GB or 12 GB Ram and 128 GB or 256 GB storage capacity. The Oppo Reno 7 5G is priced at around 375 euros.
And last but not least, the Oppo Reno 7 SE is still missing when the new series is presented. The smartphone is almost identical to the Oppo Reno 7. The differences lie in the chip, because this version is the MediaTek Dimensity 900 with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB SSD.
In addition, the battery can only be charged up to 33 watts and the SE variant with 48 megapixels on the back and 16 megapixels in the front area also makes some compromises when it comes to the camera. On the other hand, it is of course cheaper and is the equivalent of around 305 euros.
It could be a few months before Oppo launches the new Reno 7 series in Europe. All that is known so far is that sales of the Oppo Reno 7 Pro in India are planned for January 2022.Continue to the home page
