Népszava BKK will further expand the first-door take-off where it does not cause disruption

The capital company promises that travel on busy flights and during peak hours will not complicate travel.

The Budapest Transport Center (BKK) will introduce the first-door take-off order on new lines in the near future, but only where this does not cause a significant increase in journey times, the transport organization of the capital told Népszava. As they write, the front-door system is an effective way to curb flickering, motivate ticket and season ticket purchases, based on the experience of the past ten years, and cause a few minutes of increase in flight traffic for just a few days when new flights are included. It has been stated that the system will only be introduced where it does not cause disruption or significantly increase driving time:

“On particularly busy line sections during the peak hours, you certainly don’t have to expect the first-door take-off order to make travel more difficult.”

According to the communication, newer lines will be included on a scheduled basis, with prior information and a decision always preceded by a preliminary survey. It was recalled that the first-door take-off order has existed in Budapest since 2009, and since then on more than 200 lines, with more than 500 drivers, the system has been “oiled” and used outside Budapest, such as Berlin, Stockholm, London, Oslo, Sydney or Montreal. , but partly also in the big cities of Hungary.
