On this day, in an unreal hot afternoon, in Murina, a tame place on the shores of Lima, not far from Plav, they were killed by rockets by NATO pilots, for no reason, because in this town inhabited exclusively by Orthodox people, but also near it, there were no not a single soldier of the then Yugoslav Army.

The bombing of Murina, in which innocent victims were killed – Miroslav Knezevic (14), Olivera Maksimovic (13) from Pristina and her sister from aunt Julia Brudar (13), as well as locals Vukic Vuletic (46), Milka Kocanovic (69) and Manojlo Komatina (72), is considered one of the most serious crimes during the NATO aggression on FR Yugoslavia. The aggressor aviation bombed the bridge on Lim with a dozen projectiles, which is located in the center of the settlement. Civilians who were not participants in the war were killed. Zeljko Bjelanovic, Svetlana Zecevic and Tina Milovic were seriously injured in the attack, and Mirko Soskic, Danilo Jokic, Vasko Cejovic, Slobodan Mirosavljevic and Slavko Mirkovic were slightly injured.

At around 4 pm, two planes appeared in the clear sky above the town. A couple of detonations from the direction of nearby Gornja Ržanica quickly resounded. Then it flashed, then thundered. The flame died down. Smoke was rising … A moan was heard on all sides, it is part of the testimony of the people of Mourinho, who were evicted again …

Near the old stone bridge, the symbol of the town and the alleged target of the villains, lay the lifeless bodies of people. Shortly afterwards, while the injured were still being pulled out, enemy planes flew over Murina again, and at around 5 pm, a pair of already islanded pilots landed over the town and the rockets took off again. There were wounded again, including Montenegrin MUP police officers who took part in rescuing Mourinans.

The old bridge resisted again … It was demolished ten days later at dawn. In the first bombing, the famous hotel “Sjekirica” ​​was razed to the ground, the hall of the factory “Maksim” was damaged, dozens of houses were left without a roof …
