Saint Gobain, world leader insustainable building, also this year has announced the winners of the competition Multi Comfort Student Contest.
This is a competition for students of Architecture and Building Engineering which aims to spread the principles of the Multi Comfort program: energy efficiency, sustainability, comfort and living well-being and to which students from all universities in the world can participate.

A few days ago the winners of the competition which reached its 16th edition in 2020 were announced, the podium is all Italian.
The project presented by Antonietta Boccia, Giuseppe Chiariello and Margherita Di Micco team of the Federico II University of Naples with the project A new urban ecosystem. A habitable park in Saint-Denis, Paris was awarded the bronze medal, while at the Politecnico di Milano they were awarded the gold medal and the silver medal.

How the Contest is structured

The Multi Comfort Student Contest it is divided into two phases: a national, organized in each participating country, and an international one, which takes place every year in a different city, to which the winners of each national phase access. In this edition the final event, which will decide the absolute winners of the contest, will be held in Paris from 9 to 12 June 2021.

This year’s project concerned the retraining of an area of Saint-Denis district, in the northern suburbs of Paris, to be transformed into an attractive area, with one or more residential, school and recreational complexes. All with a view to sustainability and high energy efficiency, respecting the original characteristics of the place and considering the needs of its inhabitants.

The Contest aims to produce feasible projects, donated to the Municipality, which in turn will be able to use them for the actual realization of the planned works.

The jury, in addition to being composed of individuals within the Saint-Gobain Italia company, involves numerous leading figures in architecture and engineering.

The winning team is offered the opportunity to participate in the final phase of the contest in Paris and to win a prize of € 2,500 for first place and € 1,500 and € 1,000 for second and third place.
