MUD Jeans launches Voices For Good, a platform sharing environmental initiatives founded by MUD Jeans wearers

To celebrate Earth Day, MUD Jeans launches the platform: Voices For Good. As a circular frontrunner, the brand is surrounded by customers who make a difference and start their own environmental initiatives. MUD Jeans will use its own platform to give these initiatives a stage.

Voices For Good

The purpose of the Voices For Good platform is to give entrepreneurs visibility and to bring them into contact with other entrepreneurs. For the public it is an online place to discover and share new and emerging initiatives. MUD Jeans has been successfully applying the principles of the circular economy since 2012. The brand sells denim items through its own webshop and in 300 stores worldwide. MUD Jeans jeans use 93% less water than average. The next step in its sustainability strategy goes one step further than producing sustainable jeans. MUD Jeans will highlight projects that are committed to a more beautiful planet, initiated by their wearers.

Bert van Son, CEO MUD Jeans Running a circular business is not easy, you have to be very determined. Many of the wearers of our jeans are positive activists who actively work for the planet, which is what keeps us motivated.

These porters raise their voices and come up with practical solutions. And that’s exactly what we need: action.

From surf schools to repair services

One of the initiatives featured on the Voices For Good platform is The Shore, a sustainable surf school from The Hague, founded by Hans van den Broek. The goal of The Shore is to make people happy with surfing. Surfing is nature. “And, if you get something from nature, you also have to take responsibility for it,” says Hans. “We have a plastic-free terrace and only serve organic food. Through Voices For Good we hope to show others, in the hospitality industry and beyond, that being profitable with respect for nature is possible.”

The Importance of Earth Day

MUD Jeans decided to launch the platform on April 22, on Earth Day, a day dedicated to paying attention to our nature, the environment, climate change and our consumption pattern. As temperatures continue to rise and the environmental impact is visible around the world, MUD Jeans believes Earth Day should not be limited to one day. “We hope that the authentic and personal stories on Voices For Good will motivate others to live a little more consciously. Not for one day, but for every day,” says Bert van Son.
