MSI released three new OpSx series eSports game displays

Two of the novelty screens are equipped with a Quantum Dot filter, while the third specializes in ultra-wide screen.

Growing from a motherboard manufacturer to a giant covering almost the entire computer and component industry, MSI has released new blood to the display front. The new Optix series monitors offer both traditional widescreen and ultra-widescreen options.

MSI’s new Optix MPG341QR, MPG321UR-QD and MPG321QRF-QD are part of the company’s eSports display series. The QD found behind the two monitors refers to the Quantum Dot technology of the monitors. All three monitors have in common Adaptive sync support with G-Sync Compatible certification and Mystic Light RGB lighting.

The Optix MPG321UR-QD flagship model is equipped with a 32 ”3840 × 2160 resolution IPS panel and a maximum refresh rate of 144 Hz. The specialty of the monitor is its “KVM 3.0” switch, which also supports console game controllers between keyboard and mouse sharing devices. The display also features the only HDMI 2.1 connector in the set, available in two tracks.

The Optix MPG321QRF-QD is the only display in the range with a Rapid IPS panel. The 32 ”2560 × 1440 resolution panel offers a refresh rate of 175 Hz and a GtG response time of 1 millisecond, while others advertise a 1 ms MPRT response time. The display’s KVM switch is 1.0, or basic.

The Optix MPG341QR is part of a series of ultra-widescreen displays and is the only one in the trio without Quantum Dot technology. At its best, the 34-inch 3440 × 1440 resolution IPS panel supports a refresh rate of 144 Hz. Where sister monitors are DisplayHDR 600 certified, the only ultra-wide image remains at the DisplayHDR 400 level. The KVG switch on the MPG341QR is also basic.

MSI did not disclose in its press release when or at what price the screens will be available from the deal.
