Luckily, the motorbike has now returned to the victim after the herd of thieves was caught.
Tekung Police Chief Iptu Ari Hartono revealed the group of perpetrators, namely DF (27) a resident of Banyuputih Lor Village, Randuagung District, AH (31) from Sawaran Lor Village, Klakah District, M (32) from Tegalciut Village, Klakah District.
The victim admitted that he parked his motorbike in a rice field area. But moments later, the two-wheeled vehicle disappeared and was taken away by a herd of thieves.
“The vehicle was parked in the rice fields with the steering wheel locked and the owner left to work weeding weeds or weeds in the fields,” he said, Sunday (17/4).
In addition to arresting the perpetrators, officers also managed to secure the victim’s Vario motorbike, as well as another unit of the Yamaha Vixion brand vehicle and a Y letter key which was allegedly used to carry out the theft.
For their actions, the perpetrators were also charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum penalty of seven years in prison.
Bad luck befell Abdul Sayid, a resident of Lumajang. His motorbike had been stolen by a herd of thieves.
