Moscow court postpones libel trial against Navalny

The Babushkinsky District Court postponed until February 16 the trial against politician Alexei Navalny in the case of libel against a veteran. It is reported by TASS.

The meeting began at 10 am on Friday morning and lasted until late at night.

According to the investigation, in June last year, Navalny posted a video on his Telegram channel and on Twitter, in which World War II veteran Ignat Artemenko supported the amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. Under this video, Navalny wrote comments that, according to the prosecution, are “knowingly false, discrediting the honor and dignity of the veteran, and undermining his reputation.”
