On July 1 and all operators combined, 26,084 5G sites had been authorized by the ANFR in mainland France (+ 3.9% in June), of which 15,343 were declared technically operational. These are sites lit, without necessarily being open commercially.

In the 3.5 GHz band (5G core band), 9,370 authorized sites (Bouygues Telecom, Free Mobile, Orange and SFR) including 4,632 technically operational. Some authorized sites are shared.
According to the ANFR, requests for authorization and commissioning of 4G sites increased by 0.4% and 0.7% respectively in June. As of July 1, 53,854 4G sites have been authorized and 49,447 are in service (mainland).
For the 4G sites put into service, Orange is in the lead (26,331 sites; +239 in June), ahead of SFR (22,129 sites; +115), Bouygues Telecom (21 800 sites ; +157) et Free Mobile (20 146 sites ; +191).
