More Housing approved: Opposition accuses Government of threatening local power, creating more taxes and not lowering house prices

Of the 15 diplomas on housing discussed this Friday by Parliament, the two bills presented by the Government relating to the Mais Habitação Programme, go down to the 6th economy and public works commission to be discussed in the specialty.

The same fate has the Project of Resolution nº 184 presented by the PCP on the Reinforcement of means of the Institute of Housing and Urban Rehabilitation (IHRU). Reinforcement of means to enable the Government’s objective of raising the public park from 2% to 5%, which requires the construction or rehabilitation of 170,000 dwellings, as read in the preamble, which stresses that there are more than 100,000 families that need a housing response and not the 26,000 identified by the Government.

The call for consensus and the participation of all parties in the discussion on the specificity of bills nº71 on Mais Habitação and nº77 on Simplex licensing marked the entire debate.
