Mol spoke about the less fuel delivered to small gas stations

In the past few days, it has been revealed that Mol has informed the private gas stations: they will further reduce the amount of fuel that can be given to them. So far, only 50 percent of the ordered quantity has been delivered, but for gasoline, this will be reduced even further, to 35 percent.

Since it has happened so far that the smaller wells have run out of fuel already in the middle of the week, it is not excluded that from now on there will be units that cannot serve their customers even at the beginning of the week – said Gábor Egri, the president of the Independent Petrol Stations Association (FBSZ) to our newspaper .

Mol Nyrt. spoke about the move – it announced Infostart.hu. According to the listed company, in order to ensure security of supply, they constantly analyze market conditions and fine-tune their supply strategy every week.

“Since the beginning of March, the company has concluded wholesale contracts with 258 new partners, among them many independent gas stations, which did not obtain fuel from Mol before. The current 50 and 35 percent restrictions only apply to these new partners, which were added this year due to the loss of imports our clientele.

The temporary measure was necessary due to the outstanding demand and the ongoing maintenance work at Százhalombatta,” Mol wrote. According to the company’s calculations, the country’s security of supply can be guaranteed with these restrictions and that all of their partners receive enough fuel to maintain their operations.

In addition to the temporary measures, the oil company previously increased its logistics capacities and made its share of strategic stocks fully available to customers.
