jatim.jpnn.comSITUBONDO – The mystery of the missing grandfather named Sudikin (60), a resident of Awar-Awar Village, Asembagus District, Situbondo Regency on Sunday (14/5) last week has finally been revealed.
Situbondo Police Chief AKBP Dwi Sumrahadi said the search for someone who was reported missing had only yielded results on Sunday (21/5).
Sudikin was found at around 16.30 WIB, hundreds of meters from the initial location and was reported missing.
“The victims were found in a sugar cane field, to be precise 300 of the victims’ motorbikes were found missing during the initial search,” Dwi said, Monday (5/22).
He explained that the chronology of the discovery of Sukidin’s body began with information from the residents of the Pillow Village, Asembagus Subdistrict, who reported a bad smell.
The BPBD and Asembagus Police officers searched for the origin of the smell, then found Sukidin’s body which had turned blue.
Asked about the cause of Sukidin’s death, who was declared missing in his sugar cane field, Dwi stated that it was not yet known because the family did not want an autopsy.
“At that time, our bodies were evacuated, but the family did not want an autopsy to be carried out, so they were immediately buried,” explained Dwi. (mcr12/jpnn)
