Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) oznámil spolupráci s CSi palletising, a Dutch company providing complete palletizing solutions in the FMCG industry. As part of the cooperation, it represents a palletizer from CSi palletizing built on the new MiR1350 robot. The solution fully automates the transport of heavy pallets of materials in the fast-moving consumer goods industry, especially in FMCG / CPG production and storage facilities.
The Taros palletizer from CSi palletising was previously integrated into various types of conveyors for the transport of finished products to warehouses and empty pallets to machines. The company will now integrate AMR robots to transport pallets using a single conveyor for storage or final packaging processes. In addition, the solution works seamlessly with customer automation systems such as ERP / WMS.
A more autonomous and flexible way of transporting finished products is provided by autonomous mobile robots and enables a powerful, fully automated palletizing workflow. CSi palletising with its partner MiR brings to the market the next generation of palletizing technologies for FMCG companies worldwide.
The MiR1350 robot autonomously transports loads weighing up to 1350 kg thanks to trouble-free navigation, enabling safe operation in a dynamic environment full of people and other transport equipment. Like other low-capacity AMR robots from MiR, which can also work with CSi palletising solutions, the MiR1350 integrates sensors, 3D cameras and the latest laser scanning technology, providing a 360-degree overview for accurate and safe navigation and operation. The MiR1350 robot is designed to meet the latest safety standards in the field, e.g. ISO 3691-4 a ANSI / RIA R15.08-1-2020. Together with the MiR600 robot, they represent the first autonomous mobile robots on the market with certifikací Ingress Protection52, which in practice means that their components can come into contact with dust and water droplets, ensuring a high level of performance and reliable operation in demanding production environments and warehouses.
The partnership opens AMR to new applications in FMCG and other industries
CSi palletising, which successfully presented its Taros solution based on MIR1350 at the German trade fair Fachpack 2021, has already deployed automation technologies at various levels in its customers’ processes.
According to Vladimir Vovka, Global Director of FMCG at Mobile Industrial Robots, CSi has palletizing systems involved directly in its customers’ production processes, so the integration of AMR robots into workflows is seamless. As companies discover the benefits of mobile robots, such as flexibility, higher security and higher productivity, they will start looking for other applications where they would benefit them. According to the findings, the possibilities are almost unlimited and thanks to CSi, MiR is able to make them easily accessible to companies in the FMCG / CPG industry.
