“Today at 10:20 the metropolitan police received information about the” mining “of eleven shopping and entertainment centers and one hotel in different parts of the capital,” the statement said.

“As a result of inspections of the premises and adjacent territories, specialists did not find any explosive or suspicious objects. The work of the institutions has now been restored to normal,” the police said.

The Investigative Department of the Shevchenkivskyi Police Department opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 259 (Known false information about the threat to public safety, destruction or damage to property) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of two to six years. As part of the pre-trial investigation, the police establish all the circumstances of the crime and the persons involved in the incident.
