The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) issued a travel warning for the Republic of Slovenia on Tuesday, where a Code Red warning of rains and floods is in force.

According to the MFA, the Slovenian Environment Agency issued a code flood warning for the period 13-15 July 2021 in the western, southern and central regions.

Rising river elevations in the northeast are expected, as well as possible flooding in coastal areas until Thursday.

Heavy rainfall is also expected, accompanied by possible storms and wind intensifications, in the mountainous areas of the western regions.

On July 15 and 16, 2021, heavy rainfall is possible, accompanied by storms, especially on Friday.

The warning is addressed to Romanian citizens who are, transit or intend to travel to the Republic of Slovenia.
