Medicine / Health, Illness | Employers break infection control rules – Røe Isaksen furious

In one of three inspections, the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority has found a breach of the infection control rules. Minister of Labor Torbjørn Røe Isaksen reacts strongly to “rogue” employers.

– There are far too many employers who do not follow the rules. Some have gross fractures, which is almost so you can not believe it, says Røe Isaksen VG.

Since mid-November, the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority has had the greatest focus on infection control in its inspections. So far this year, they have found breaches in 31 per cent of 475 corona inspections where they looked at accommodation from the employer or tenant.

Arbeidstilsynet has also uncovered infection control breaches in 30 percent of the inspections in the construction industry, according to VG.

– This is one of the most selfish and unsympathetic I can imagine in the situation we are in now. It’s villainous, says an upset Røe Isaksen.

In total, the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority has carried out 2,346 corona inspections. Violations have been detected in 36 per cent of them.
