Mediatek launches new Dimensity processor | Mobile

Mediatek has presented a new latest processor, Dimensity 9000+, which is a polished version of Dimensity 9000 that was launched a few months ago. The new Dimensity 9000+ is manufactured with TSMC’s 4nm technology and offers, among other things, higher clock frequencies for both CPU and GPU compared to the standard Dimensity 9000 model.

Dimensity 9000+ has a Cortex-X2 processor at 3.2GHz, three Cortex-A710 at 2.85GHz and four Cortex-A510 at 1.8GHz. The Mali-G710 MC10 graphics processor has the capacity to run screens with Full HD + resolution in 180Hz and QHD + screens in 144Hz.

According to Mediatek, the new processor has five percent better processor performance and ten percent better graphics performance compared to its predecessor. In terms of hardware, it also offers 8MB L3 cache, 6MB cache at system level and support for LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3 storage. There is also support for camera sensors of up to 320MP as well as video recording in 4K resolution with 60 FPS and HDR10 +.

On the other hand, there is no support for mmWave 5G, but with sub-6GHz 5G it is still said to come up to speeds of up to 7Gbps.

Other details include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, dual-frequency GPS, NFC and USB 3.1 Type-C.

However, it is not said which device or devices will be the first to use Mediatek Dimensity 9000+.
