Mazda MX-5 will be donor for retro car Hurtan Grand Albaycin – DRIVE

Model Hurtan Grand Albaycin was originally conceived as a retro car with modern filling, but even in 2008, when the car debuted, it was controversial. Then the customers of a piece roadster were offered versions with Renault 1.6 and 2.0 engines with power (110-200 hp), five-speed “mechanics” and a four-band “automatic”. However, on January 23, 2021, the premiere of a new generation car is planned, and the filling in it will be quite relevant. According to insider information, the two-door Hurtan Grand Albaycin will be based on a modern Mazda MX-5.

Prototypes seen on Spanish roads are based on Miata performed by RF with a hard convertible top, but it will be possible to order a donor with a soft top.

Now there are two more models in the Hurtan passenger range: the eerie Author 4P based on a convertible Chrysler PT Cruiser and Vintage in 1930s style, based on off-road units Jeep Wrangler.

As before, the donor chassis has been fitted with the original exterior old panels, but retro styling is unlikely to benefit. The short-wheelbase Miata in this guise is devoid of harmony, and when viewed from behind, in three-quarters, the Hurtan roadster seems absurd. The light rear-wheel drive car will receive a choice of two naturally aspirated engines – 1.5 Skyactiv-G, producing 132 hp. and 152 N • m, and Skyactiv-G 2.0, which has 184 hp at its disposal. and 205 N • m. Transmissions – mechanical or automatic with six steps.
