The initiative will give its kick off with a kick off event on May 3 in Brussels, which will feature the Equality Commissioner Helena Dalli and CEOs of the main European companies. Through the Charter, the foundation joins from Spain to the other 25 European states that make up this group; which has developed a decalogue of 10 principles on inclusion and diversity for companies to adhere voluntarily. The commitments that companies sign are: building a diverse workforce, promoting an inclusive business culture, conducting selection and promotion processes without bias, promoting policies for personal and work-life balance, recognizing the diversity of clients, widely communicating this commitment, inviting suppliers to join the European Charter, disseminate good practices and results obtained and, finally, raise awareness about Diversity and Inclusion across the board.

In addition to being part of the European Charter, the foundation, promoted by the Alares Group, publishes reports on innovation and diversity such as “Innodiversity in the Spanish business fabric” and also organizes the International Awards for Diversity Management. According to the latest report presented by the Foundation, in collaboration with IE University, 87% of Spanish companies include gender diversity management in their strategy.
