Mati Mandel: useful idiots, recruited and more

There is no longer any doubt that the Putin regime has been working for several decades to restore the Russian Empire.

There has been talk of restoring at least the size of the former Soviet Union. It can be assumed that, in reality, there is an even greater goal in mind – to expand ideologically, but why not in reality, the whole russkii mirarea from Vladivostok to Lisbon.

In fact, there is nothing new in it. Reaching the Atlantic Ocean was already planned by Stalin, who had a huge army prepared and equipped with a large number of heavy tanks that could only be driven on the good roads of Western Europe. We must not forget how Europe was hoped to be subjugated. One million parachutists had completed the exercises, and of course they were taught shooting and other necessities. They were then intended to occupy the most important nodes.

Of course, other preparations had been made, such as recruiting an extensive agency from the left-wing people in Western Europe to observe the Soviet Union through pink glasses. Stalin himself aptly called them “useful idiots.” There were many useful idiots in all countries, including pre-war Estonia. They were also supported by the “people’s revolution” that took place here in June 1940. Many of these superstitious believers were later sent to Siberian prison camps. Just as the dictator the Great Terror in 1935-36 destroyed thousands of comrades with the Bolsheviks who made the October coup with him.

Stalin’s desire to reach the Atlantic did not come true at the time, as the second dictator, Hitler, came forward and was the first to attack. At the end of World War II, however, it was no longer possible to get there, as British and US troops were already facing Western Europe.

But Putin began preparing Stalin’s plan again. All kinds of measures were suitable for that. This time, allies were recruited from all sides, both the left and the far right. All sorts of societies who were dissatisfied with the countries benefited. Putin’s agents were certainly found in the rioting of yellow shirts in France and even in recent anti-vaccine protests.

The KGB was already actively involved in recruitment during the Soviet era. Until the end of the Soviet period, at least a few hundred people a year were known to be recruited as agents in Estonia. Probably this trend has continued later, to this day. Some of the recruits went to the cemetery after regaining their independence, but certainly not all. Some of the recruits are so-called silent agents, who are activated at a certain moment, and some of whom are constantly tasked with causing confusion and suspicion in people. From time to time, they also speak out in public.

Today, the people are mostly divided into two camps: those whose idol has a strong sole party and personal power, culminating in Putin’s reign in Russia, and others who prefer a regime with many different parties and a change of power. When a dictator like Stalin, Hitler or Putin comes to power, he subjugates the entire media, filling it with a brainwashing suit. Whoever opposes the dictator will be imprisoned for a long time or simply liquidated. This cannot happen with a large number of political parties. In some places, party leaders may even meet in Parliament, but prisons are not filling and blood is not flowing.

It’s worth considering what kind of power someone values. Not everyone is recruited, not everyone is a useful idiot, but what someone is saying is worth noting.
