The Free Serbian Orthodox Church-School Municipality of the Holy Great Martyr and Victor George in Canberra celebrated its temple glory last Sunday, May 7.
The holy liturgy, the consecration of the Slavic sign and the cutting of the Slavic cake was performed and the Slavic procession around the temple was led by the priest Aleksandar Popadić, in the presence of believers from the capital of Australia, the surrounding area and Sydney, who gathered regardless of the windy and cold weather.

The hostess of this year’s celebration was treasurer Anđa Ristić, and her daughter Radmila applied for next year.
The traditional and rich Slavic feast of love was held in the Serbian Center “Draža Mihailović” in Forest. As Biljana Đurđević informed us, the temple celebration in Canberra took place in a festive spirit, as confirmed by the photos.

By the way, the iconostasis, icons and frescoes in the temple of St. George are a true masterpiece and are included in the tourist offer for visitors to Canberra. If you are passing through or visiting the Australian capital, the church and the Serbian Center are located at 32 National Circuit.
