Marc Philipp Gemballa is collaborating with RUF for his first project

This is not the first time the two families have worked together, as Uwe Gemballa had successfully teamed up with Alois Ruf to develop the engines of the former’s improved vehicles in the 1980s.

Marc Philipp Gemballa’s company – which has named it Marc Philipp Gemballa (MPG) – is preparing a model, which will have a carbon body and design influences from 959. This is titled Project Sandbox and will be based on the new 911 (992) , designed by Alan Derosier.

Mechanically, the MPG project will be based on the Porsche 911 Turbo S (992), with RUF improving the engine to 750+ horsepower and 930 Nm of torque, when it delivers 650 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque from the factory.

The unveiling of the model is scheduled for the spring of 2021 and demand is already very high. The launch edition of the model will be available in only ten units and has already been sold-out, before the official release of the model, leaving available only 30 of the 40 cars that will be produced in total, with the company preparing to start production in 2021.

Although the company did not provide any other information, from the photos we can see the large rear spoiler and the double ends of the exhaust. The body of the car seems to have several modifications, with MPG stating that the model will have serious off-road capabilities and will go into production in limited numbers.

Marc Philipp Gemballa’s partners for this project are KW Automotive, Michelin, Akrapovic, DS Fasertechnik for carbon parts and VELA Performance for the evolution of the car’s mechanical parts.
