Following the appointment of a two-hour strike by Efacec workers, to be carried out between 2 pm and 4 pm this Wednesday, to demand salary increases and the purchase of raw materials, contest the reprivatization of the company and claim the dismissal management, the company’s management team expresses its displeasure at the decision taken by the sector union and counterattacks.
First of all, the management, still led by Ângelo Ramalho, guarantees that “the company is guided by the best principles of people management, always bearing in mind, along with salary progression, the training and development of careers, fair remuneration and retention of all the workers, who are the company’s greatest asset”, he considers.
On the other hand, it notes, in a statement, that “the company’s negotiations with its workers are carried out with the respective workers’ committees, through a regular and permanent dialogue”.
Additionally, he assures that “Efacec fully respects the commitments assumed in the scope of collective bargaining between the Employers’ Association (ANIMEE) and the unions representing workers”.
Furthermore, he emphasizes that “the announcement of the conclusion of the third phase of the reprivatization process, at the end of February 2022, with the selection of the buyer, associated with the planned capitalization measures of Efacec, the skills of its workers and the trust of our customers and partners, marks the beginning of a new cycle for Efacec, which will make it more sustainable and competitive”, he says.
It is recalled that, on the 25th of March, Parpública announced that it had signed on that day with the Braga group DST the agreement for the direct sale of the stake it held in Efacec, followed by a “phase to implement the conditions precedent for the closing of the reprivatization operation”, which will be underway.
