A thousand films were sent to the Matsalu Nature Film Festival (MAFF), from which the ones that will be seen at the Lihula festival in September will be selected.

One of the pearls of the festival is the new film by director Remek Meeli from Lihula about the largest delta swamp in Estonia, Emajõgi-Suursoo, and the primitive connections between man and nature.

“We really hope this film premieres,” Lotman said.

In cooperation with the Hungarian Cultural Institute, an exhibition of the best Hungarian nature photos of the last 30 years will arrive in Lihula. “From Lihula, it goes up to the Tallinn Zoo,” said Lotman.

This year’s MAFF is 19th and will run from 15th to 19th. September.
