Madness in Zvolen. Spišská looted under the Deserted Castle, has a final match ball – Extraliga – Hockey

The hockey players of Zvolen lost in the fifth semi-final match of the Tipos extraliga playoff on their ice with Spišská Nova Vsa 5:6, and in the series played for four victories they lose 2:3. Spišská can seal the progress already on Tuesday at home.

In the first period, a free Rapáč opened the scoring from the center circle when a knocked down puck reached him, but Zvolenčany equalized thanks to Šišek. The latter also gained ground from the circle from the turn, when Bondra’s offside was not clearly proven by the video even after the coach’s challenge.

However, Spišiaci took the lead 24 seconds before the break thanks to Žiak, who finished from the circle through Kubka’s stick. In the second period, after two unused power-plays by the guests, Verbeek changed the score to 3:1 from an escape after a mistake by the home team on the blue line, and then Nellis made it 4:1 from a renumbering.

But in 71 seconds, Mudrák threw the puck from the blue line and it unexpectedly got past Melicherčík – 2:4. In the dramatic third period, he reduced the goal difference with a hard shot from the top of the Hain circle, and in the 54th minute, Hecl equalized from the crossbar after a shot by Jedlička.

Zvolenčany achieved a perfect turnaround from 1:4 to 5:4 in the 56th minute after a nice penetration by Huntebrinker, but Nellis completed a hat trick with two goals and took care of the guests’ victory from the stoppage after an innocent shot by Romaňák.
