Pardubice – Czech MMA fighter Filip Macek did not win the belt of the bantam weight category up to 61 kg of the Oktagon organization on the second attempt, in Pardubice he lost to Jonas Magard from Denmark clearly 0: 3 on points.

“Filip was a really tough opponent. The way he handled the match was great,” said Magard, who dominated the duel from the first to the fifth round. “He was exactly the opponent I wanted. He can end the match at any time because he is dangerous,” said the 29-year-old fighter.

Macek lost the Oktagon title match for the second time in his career, in September 2019 he was not enough for points for Tomáš Deák from Slovakia. “He was just better, I didn’t have him,” Macek admitted.

In the second main match of the Prime 4 event, Lucie Pudilová defeated the Polish opponent Marta Waliczeková 2: 1 by points. Both fighters competed in Brno this year as well, and even then the only Czech to win the elite world organization UFC won. “Marta has a very good attitude, so the match could not end. We had to start wrestling and take her to the ground,” Pudilova said.

Matouš Kohout, who finished the duel with František Fedor from Slovakia in the second round, also scored the victory before the limit. After three years, 36-year-old Jaroslav Pokorný returned to the “cage” and gave up the fight with Miloš Janičič from Montenegro 17 seconds before the end. Zdeněk Polívka, who defeated the Pole Robert Bryczek, then won the points.

At the same time, the heads of the Octagon today announced the actors of the main matches at other events. The first weekend in December will end the gala evening in Ostrava with a duel between David Kozna and Slovak Ivan Buchinger, who will strive for the third Oktagon championship belt.

The tournament on December 30 at the O2 Arena in Prague will end with a title duel between Patrik Kincl and Slovak Samuel Krištofič. Kincl will join him as a replacement for the injured Carlos Vémol. “After Carlos was injured, we managed to arrange the best possible match. And for Patrik it will not be just about one possible match in our country,” said the organization’s promoter Ondřej Novotný.
