Macao opens a copy of London, including David Beckham

The builder is Sand China, a subsidiary of the Las Vegas gambling operator Las Vegas Sands Corp. The Londoner Hotel, a copy of the atrium of Hyde Park’s Crystal Palace and several restaurants will be the first to open to guests. The entrance to the complex imitates the facade of Victoria Station.

The Asian London Hotel will have 600 rooms, with the top two floors occupying 14 luxury residences, named after the famous British footballer David Beckham. The atmosphere of the British capital is to be completed by a 5.2 meter high red telephone box, guests at The Londoner will be welcomed by a Welsh Corgi dog, bred by the famous Queen Elizabeth II. At the Crystal Palace, guards will change several times a day, and this attraction will be accompanied by a feature performance. Guests will not miss David Beckham either, although in a virtual version that will be their companion in an attraction inspired by a classic London taxi.

In the current situation, however, new visitors from mainland China will be able to enjoy the new attractions. Only they can travel to Macca almost without restrictions. Foreign guests from most countries have to undergo a three-week quarantine upon arrival in Macca, which reduces their numbers to a minimum.
