Los Angeles: Residents will protest at the filming of the 10th Fast and Furious movie

In an otherwise quiet neighborhood in the Angeleno Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles, an intersection has been littered with trails of burnt rubber. It is the site of Bob’s Market made famous for being the shop owned by Dominic “Dom” Toretto’s family in the 1st Fast and Furious movie in 2001.

Residents are fed up with movie fans flocking to the area for donuts and late-night drifts. So they plan to protest during the filming of the franchise’s tenth film, Fast X, which is expected these days.

In the same neighborhood is the house of Dom Toretto, the role played by Vin Diesel in the movies and hundreds of people go outside the house every day to take pictures.

Residents have complained to the Los Angeles City Council not only about the danger posed to pedestrians, but also because every night they are faced with the sound of exhaust and tires, as well as the smell of burning tires.

Indeed, when some residents complained to the drivers, they were met with retaliation, with one threatening them with a gun, another setting fire to rubbish bins, while another deliberately crashed parked cars before fleeing.

The Fast X movie is slated to hit theaters on May 19, 2023.
