The Minister of Health of Serbia, Zlatibor Lončar, warned today that, if we continue with relaxed behavior and without the implementation of vaccination that will lead us to collective immunity, we can expect a worsening of the situation regarding the corona virus in a few weeks.
Loncar once again appealed to everyone, especially young people, to be vaccinated in order to achieve collective immunity.
– I would like to be able to go with a more relaxed situation by autumn, but with this kind of behavior and vaccination, it is a matter of weeks – said Lončar and added that citizens concentrate only on the number of infected, which is irresponsible because there are other indicators that the situation is getting worse, as the number of hospitalized has increased.
He called on everyone to remain united in the fight against the corona virus if we want to have a healthy nation.
In that sense, he calls on all those who have postponed their preventive examinations related to other diseases due to the crown, to take advantage of this period of calm and go for check-ups.
“Our system today functions as before the crown,” the minister added.
He adds that in any case, lessons should be learned from the coronary virus pandemic.
– We do not think it is ideal, there is room to improve everything, but I am satisfied with the health workers and the state’s support for health workers and logistics – said Loncar and added that he is convinced that many will learn from Serbia in the future about changing and organizing the health system. an example of how this was done during a pandemic.
Loncar points out that the situation related to the pandemic cannot be resolved in just one country, and adds that it was necessary for them to meet earlier at the European level to talk about measures to fight the coronavirus.
– Maybe we would have fewer protests, Serbia is part of Europe and we must react together if we want a solution – said the Minister.CLICK FOR MORE NEWS
