To the menu of computer mice Logitech a new model is coming G502 X. It comes in three variants, the wired G502 X and two wireless variants G502X Lightspeed and G502X Plus. All three models have the Lightforce hybrid optical-mechanical switch, which uses optical click sensing, but also offers a classic mechanical click. According to Logitech, optical sensors have a longer lifespan than mechanical ones.
All mice have a Hero 25K sensor with a resolution of 25600 dpi. An interesting feature is the reversible and removable button for changing the resolution. The Lightspeed wireless connection offers a 68% faster response than the previous generation and two devices with this technology can be connected to one receiver. Device pairing is then done in the G Hub application. The G502 X is compatible with the same receiver as the G915, G915 TKL and G715 keyboards.
The wireless models are charged via USB-C and should last for 140 hours of work/play with the Lightspeed version, or 120 hours for the Plus version with the RGB lighting turned off, or 37 hours with it on. You can also have unlimited battery life if you use the Powerplay charging mouse pad. In terms of weight, the wired version weighs 89 grams, the Lightspeed 99.7 to 101.5 grams depending on the color (white is heavier than black), and the Plus 106 grams.
As for the prices, they should be CZK 2,199 including VAT for the G502 X version, CZK 3,699 for the G502 X Lightspeed and CZK 4,199 for the G502 X Plus.
