– I am happy to drive my ninth season together with my teammates in Mercedes. Our team has achieved incredible things together, but at the same time there are constantly things to improve, both on and off the track, says Lewis Hamilton in a press release.

The new contract is short, only one year. This year’s first competition is held in Bahrain.

– I am eager to get back on track in March, says Hamilton.
