The premiere of the new version of Layers of Fear is to take place next month. The Bloober Team studio responsible for it has recently confirmed that it will also be released on Apple computers.
The original Layers of Fear was an adventure game in the convention of psychological horror. We played the role of a painter living alone in a large Victorian mansion, who, trying to complete his greatest work, gradually plunged deeper and deeper into the abyss of madness. While exploring his house, the player slowly discovered the truth about the events from the past that led him to this state. However, the new edition of Layers of Fear is to be more than a simple refresh of the original from 2016. The creators decided to combine the first part, all extensions and the sequel released three years later into one whole, adding to all this an additional chapter that is the finale of the whole story.
The premiere of the new Layers of Fear was announced on June 15. The macOS version will be available for purchase in the App Store and, according to the developers’ announcement, it will work on all computers with Apple Silicon chips.
