This new feature will also allow organizers to choose professional interpreters through a dropdown menu.

When an interpreter joins the meeting, they can immediately start translating. As for meeting participants, once they join they can choose a language channel to listen to the meeting and this is possible as organizers can choose to add more interpreters if more than one language needs to be translated during the meeting .

When choosing a language channel, participants will be able to hear the interpreter’s voice at a higher volume than the main speaker’s voice.

Something important needs to be clarified regarding language interpreters, Microsoft will not provide the interpreters, those who will be responsible for hiring them will be the companies and when they do, they will be added to the drop-down menu. For now, this Language Interpretation capability is available only in Teams for desktop and web.
