Lando Norris answers fans’ questions

Lando Norris answered some of the questions that fans most often turn to the Google search engine, because this company is one of the partners of the McLaren team.

Question: Do you have brothers or sisters?
Lando Norris: I have two sisters and an older brother. Both sisters are younger than me. They are all glorious! At one time, my brother and I raced in karting together. Flo, the eldest of the sisters, is engaged in equestrian sports, and the youngest does whatever she wants, because she is the smartest in the family and studies at the university.

Q: What cars do you drive off the track?
Lando Norris: Good question! In fact, I recently got my first personal McLaren 765 LT sports car (limited edition, 765 built) and it’s one of the craziest cars there is. I chose the package myself, and everything is the way I want it, including the colors.

But I got the car quite recently and have not even had time to ride it. That’s what I’m going to ride every day. And I also have a Fiat Jolly, and this car is the complete opposite of McLaren.

Question: What is your favorite food?
Lando Norris: I prefer Italian food, but I also love something closer to Japanese or Asian food, in particular Thai food. Something from this area, but not sushi, not fish or seafood.

Question: Why don’t you like fish?
Lando Norris: I don’t know, I don’t like it, that’s all. I don’t like the way it tastes, I don’t like its smell, I don’t like the way it looks. So there are enough reasons.

Question: Do you have a favorite song?
Lando Norris: Favorite song? Perhaps Last Last from the repertoire of Burna Boy (Nigerian artist working in the Afrobeats genre).

Question: What is your favorite color?
Lando Norris: I can give an unequivocal answer to this question: my favorite color has always been fluorescent yellow. My helmets are painted in it. And also gray – since childhood, I have raced in overalls and boots in gray. My new car also has elements of gray – I don’t like it when there is a lot of it, but some details are of that color.

Question: What is your favorite track?
Lando Norris: There is no one track that I like the most. But I can say that I like Suzuka, Spa, Singapore – perhaps these three. I enjoy every time I perform there.

Q: Why are you in Formula 1 under the fourth number?
Lando Norris: There is no deep meaning in this. Many riders throughout their careers are under the same number, but this is not my case. I just liked it the best, and besides, on my logo, made up of my initials, there is a gap in the form of a “four” between the letters L and N, so this number suits me – everything is simple.

Question: Where did you grow up?
Lando Norris: I grew up in the countryside near Glastonbury in Somerset. We can say that this is a hinterland, far from big cities, but it is quiet and calm there, because there are few people, and these are very beautiful places.

Question: Who is your best friend?
Lando Norris: I have so many friends it’s hard to choose, but there are a couple guys I grew up with. I was then 12-13 years old, and we spent a lot of time together.

Q: Who is your race engineer?
Lando Norris: Probably, many people know, but for those who do not know, I will say that this is William Joseph. He has been my race engineer since the very first F1 tests, he has been in F1 for many years and at one time was Fernando Alonso’s race engineer. Will is a great specialist, thanks to him my life is much easier and better, and he is the only one who communicates with me on the radio during the races. Together with him, we have achieved something and will try to achieve new successes!
