Today, Lääne County is one of the snowiest places in Estonia, where the thickness of the snow layer is 14 centimeters.
According to the State Weather Service, there was 14 centimeters of snow at the Lääne-Nigula observation station in the morning. The snow layer is thicker than in Lääne County only at the Tuulemäe observation station in south-eastern Estonia, where the snow is 23 centimeters, and according to the Jõhvi and Väike-Maarja observation stations, the snow layer is 15 centimeters thick.
Tooma, Türi and Tudu observation stations are the same as in Lääne County – a 14-centimeter layer of snow.
There is no snow at all on Ruhnu Island and in a large part of Hiiumaa and Saaremaa.
