La Mercè students show their talent in the Young Performers Competition

La Mercè Young Performers Competition

The students of La Mercè School once again showed their talent during the Young Performers Competition held on April 7. A total of 50 students from the different educational stages took to the stage of the Joan Cererols Auditorium of the Cultural Center to show off their artistic skills and abilities.

Instruments such as guitars, flutes, trumpets, basses and ukuleles could be enjoyed. There were also many dances of different styles and voices were heard that moved the audience.

The director of La Mercè, Daniel Moll, states that “there has not been a moment of lowering the level during the two hours that the show has lasted and the applause after each performance was endless. The young performers have made it very difficult for the jury to make the decision on who will be the winner, which we will know in the coming days “.

Daniel Moll adds that “it was a spectacular and very emotional evening because the talent of the young people is unstoppable and infinite”. He also wanted to thank the families “for supporting and encouraging these students to demonstrate their skills, as well as the school’s AMPA and the collaboration of Sole Nieto and Toni Comaposada, music teachers of the school, to make it possible and to help the students to love the music ”.
