A “heart” of just 27 kilograms capable, however, of delivering well 67 horsepower. This is the business card with which the KTM 450 SMR 2022, renewed version of one of the most successful Supermoto of the Austrian manufacturer.
A two-wheeler therefore characterized by great power but, at the same time, by lightness and manageability, thus making it suitable for the most disparate driving styles. In short, a small jewel of technique and technology that, like the models that preceded it, is a candidate to give various satisfactions to all those pilots who will try it on the track.
A single cylinder 4T SOHC engine from 450 cubic centimeters which delivers, as already mentioned, 67 horsepower. The 44-millimeter Keihin throttle body is instead the key to an extremely precise and sensitive power delivery, capable of returning a driving pleasure never experienced before.
The single cradle frame is made of chrome-moly steel with a robotic welding process. A technical choice that guarantees the perfect balance between stiffness, flexibility and lightness, ensuring pilots a high level of accuracy in cornering and in maintaining the trajectory. Thanks to the fork plates in milled aluminum alloy and the handlebar adjustable to three different positions, every rider can adapt the KTM 450 SMR 2022 to his own riding style.
The Austrian two-wheeler is equipped, as standard, with sospensioni WP XACT and 16.5 ″ Alpina light alloy wheels at the front and 17 ″ at the rear. The braking system is instead branded Brembo, consisting of a 310 mm front disc (the rear is 220 mm) and a four-piston caliper. A configuration that allows to absorb all the roughness of the ground (even the most marked) and guarantee very short braking distances even at high speed.
Anyone who wants to get their hands on the KTM 450 SMR 2022 will not have to wait who knows how long. The new Austrian Supermotard will be available in the dealerships of the Austrian manufacturer as early as the second half of September. The list price is 11,155 euros.
