Suara.com – PT KAI Commuter has started to carry out random antigen tests to prospective KRL users at a number of stations. This test is an effort to prevent potential users who have the potential to transmit Covid-19 from taking the KRL.
In addition, this random test is also to increase awareness amid the increase in positive cases of Covid-19 in recent weeks.
“We hope that our users will be willing to take this random test if requested by the officer. This test is for the health and safety of KRL users,” said VP Corporate Secretary of KAI Commuter Anne Purba in a statement, Monday (21/6/2021).
Anne continued, the random antigen test this morning took place at a number of stations that were the departure points of users, namely Bogor, Cikarang, Bekasi, and Tangerang stations.

Meanwhile, in the afternoon, an antigen test will be held at Manggarai and Tanah Abang Stations.
The number of tests prepared by KAI Commuter is around 150 tests per day for the six stations.
“However, for this Monday with a higher volume of users than other days, the number of tests prepared can reach 200 tests,” said Anne.
It was recorded that as of 9 a.m. Western Indonesia Time, 152,113 users across all stations, or a decrease of about 13 percent compared to the same time on Monday last week, which was 174,3931 people.
This downward trend is expected to be an indication that people are following the government’s advice to return to work and be active from home.
Stations that recorded an increase in the number of users include Depok Baru Station (6,646 users, up 11 percent compared to last week at the same time).
