Krejčí is the player of the month in the football league, among the coaches he won Frťala in April

Prague – Stopper and captain of Sparta Ladislav Krejčí Jr. became the player of the month in the first football league. Among the coaches, Zdenko Frťala from Teplice won the League Football Association (LFA) poll in April. The results were published by the LFA on its website website.

The 24-year-old Krejčí scored in all five April matches in which he started. He successively scored against Brno, of which he is a pupil, Pardubice, Slavia, Slovácko and Pilsen. He scored three of the five goals in April from the penalty spot. Due to yellow cards, he did not play in the match in Liberec at the end of April. In total, the Czech representative has 11 league hits in just 14 matches this season.

Thanks to its captain, Sparta won the regular season by two points over city rival Slavia, which it lost to in the domestic cup final on Wednesday. Letenští have not lost in 17 rounds in a row and will enter the extension group for the title on Sunday with a match in Olomouc.

The 52-year-old Frťala took over Teplice at the beginning of March after the dismissal of Jiří Jarošík. In March, he did not win against them in two matches of the top flight, but in April, the North Bohemians did not lose five out of six rounds and dominated three matches. They even drew on the field of defending champion Pilsen.

“Sklar” is a group waiting for rescue, in which only one point separates them from the first playoff position. They have a six-point lead on the last rung, which is the only one that means direct relegation. Teplice will start the extension on Saturday against Pardubice.
