KNAB urges to accuse former LDz board members of 1.5 million euros loss / Day


The evidence obtained in the KNAB pre-trial investigation shows that the former officials of the LDz Board succeeded in establishing a new executive body to receive significantly higher remuneration, bonuses and allowances for the performance of duties for which they had already been determined and paid.

At that time, a presidential council was established in LDz, which had been declared illegal by the Constitutional Court, however, this council was not abolished either.

At the beginning of 2020, the Minister of Transport Tālis Linkaits (JKP) applied to the Prosecutor General’s Office, which initiated criminal proceedings and the pre-trial investigation was entrusted to the KNAB. Now the Riga Court District Prosecutor’s Office, as the facilitator of the proceedings, has to decide on the prosecution.
